So I went grocery shopping yesterday. Here is a snapshot of some of the produce I bought:
Yes, this is just some of it. 🙂 As someone who tries to eat a magical diet (one that makes me feel great), I definitely eat a lot of produce. To me, it is definitely love-food. I mean, what is healthier (in the ingesting department, anyway) than fresh, raw fruits, vegetables and greens? I say nothing! So if you want to know exactly what I bought yesterday, here is the list:
- 1 bunch swiss chard
- 2 heads leaf lettuce
- 1 bunch fresh basil
- 1 bunch asparagus
- 4 avocados
- 1 bunch bananas
- 1 cantaloupe
- 3 lemons
- 5 pears
- 7 grapefruits
- 14 apples
- 12 oranges
- 1 bunch green grapes
Maybe you are wondering how long it will take me to eat all of this lovely food? Eh, I would say around 4-5 days. If you are thinking that that sounds unlikely, allow me to break a day down for you….
Day 1:
- Breakfast (7:00 am) – 1/2 a cantaloupe
- Second breakfast (8:30 am) – green smoothie (grapes, apple, swiss chard, banana)
- Third breakfast (10:00 am) – green smoothie (orange, apple, leaf lettuce, banana)
- Late morning snack (11:30 am) – grapefruit
- Early afternoon snack (1:00 pm) – pear
- Second early afternoon snack (2:00 pm) – apple
- Late afternoon lunch (3:00 pm) – avocado (with lemon), on a bed of leaf lettuce
- Snack between lunch and dinner (6:00 pm) – probably some raisins or nuts (not on list)
- Dinner (7:00 pm) – asparagus and probably some cooked food (not on list)
There you have it! A day in the food-life of Tanni. I sure do love my produce. I’m sure I will be talking about it again soon….maybe we will further discuss green smoothies, or I will go on a rampage (a love-rampage) about the amazing health-ness of fruits and greens….who knows. Until then, have a FANTASTIC day! Thanks for stopping by!
